 The symptoms of Eclampsia are easy to spot The symptoms of eclampsia (milk fever) are quite easy to spot - the bitch will be wobbly and disorientated and may wander about on unsteady feet. She will need to see a vet immediately. While the symptoms are worrying, the problem is easily and speedily cured. Administration of calcium directly into the bloodstream quickly returns the bitch to normal. The condition will be avoided by feeding a good quality complete food. Do not be tempted to add calcium supplements to the diet if it is already complete, as this can cause problems in iteself.       |
